The Computer programming program was established within the university in 1988 to meet the staff needs of national public sector and private organizations within the field of software, hardware, and network topologies. The teaching period of the program is 2 years and a diploma in “Computer Programming technician” is awarded upon successful completion of the course.

 

The course affords students with a wide range of job opportunities and the most current technologies are used to enable students to identify and solve computing software issues. Within this framework students are enabled with the skills to use contemporary tools, techniques, and software applications.

 

In addition, students are taught to respect the professional and ethical principles of the field and the spirit of responsibility and teamwork is impressed upon all students.

 

The student quota for the two teaching groups  of the Computer Programming course is 40 respectively. In the academic year of 2010–2011, the number of students enrolled on the course was  111 in the formal education group and 109 in the  evening education group with 220 students in total.  All of our laboratories are equipped with other equipment including projectors and one of our laboratories has a smart board system.
